Carlos Ruiz Brussain holds a Master's degree in Design from the University of Lincoln (UK) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Art Therapy from the University of Girona (Spain).
He is currently developing a practice-led thesis about the creative process in illustration for a PhD in the University of Northampton.
He is a member of the Archive for Research in Archetypal Symbolism and the Drawing Research Network.
He lectures in creativity and illustration at ERAM Escola Universitària (Universitat de Girona), and creativity for the master levels in photography and graphic design (Fundació Universitat de Girona).
He teaches creative writing at Escola d'Escriptura Ateneu Barcelonès.
He has exhibited his work individually and collectively in Barcelona, Girona, Milan, Lincoln, and Buenos Aires.
